A Love Story

I first fell in love with Lanvin at his Spring 2008 show. I'm finding myself at a loss for words in describing why Alber Elbaz's work is so amazing to me. It's something about the timeless nature, the movement of the shapes that he has created with the gorgeous fabric. Looking back at that show that made me fall in love with his work gives me the same awestruck feeling. When I feel the superficiality of fashion, I come back to Lanvin to find the beauty in it. I was reminded of that this evening when I watched Garance Doré's video of his Spring 2011 show: another stunning achievement.

And, of course, the man himself, aside from the clothes, is pretty fabulous!
